We are very excited to announce the completion of our first Girls for the Last Girl short film, executed and directed by our very own Maemae Dylan! Maemae began this project after consulting with an Indian cinematographer named Ranjan Palit. Her idea was to construct a video that highlighted circumstance, aiming to bridge the similarities and differences of girls in varying environments. She interviewed five girls in India and five girls in Los Angeles, asking both groups questions that ranged from, “What do you do in the morning?” to “What are your dreams?” The video creates a juxtaposition of girls that have both benefited, and fallen victim to their circumstances, aiming to break the division between the two groups.
